Gary P. Nunn

Icon is an often overused description but in the case of Gary P. Nunn, it is what he is.  Nunn is a founding father of Texas music.  He was a member of an elite group of musicians who wove a style of music that was so unique it could only be called "cosmic".  As a Cosmic Cowboy Gary played with the likes of Rusty Wier, Willie Nelson, Michael Martin Murphey, and Jerry Jeff Walker.  His crowning achievement may have been when, as a member of the Lost Gonzo Band, Nunn wrote London Homesick Blues.  This song became a breakout hit on Walker's Viva Terlingua album.  It was also the theme for Austin City Limits for nearly 30 years, truly a testament to his talent and place in Texas music history.

Nunn is a multi-instrumentalist, a songwriter, and an independent music pioneer with his own record label and publishing companies.  He is an unstoppable force.  He continues to perform and record, inspiring new artists and pleasing longtime fans.
