Few people are as important to the development of Texas music over the last 40 years as Lloyd Maines.  A Grammy-winning producer and musician, the Lubbock-born Maines has played an instrumental role in the creation of some of the Lone Star State's most famous and beloved albums.  In addition to producing credits, Maines is an A-list steel guitar player and multi-instrumentalist.  He has played with almost every major player in Texas, from his family band, the Maines Brothers, to his other family band, The Chicks.  Maines is rumored to have racked up the most appearances of any performer on the Austin City Limits television show.

     In 1998 Maines produced an album for Terri Hendrix and a partnership was born.  In addition to producing their work, they jointly record, perform, and hold songwriter workshops.
